Preparing
young women for life for more than 130 years
Founded
in 1877, Sacred Heart Academy is a private, Catholic secondary
school for young women. In addition to being named a National
Blue Ribbon School of Excellence,
SHA is the only Catholic high school in the state of Kentucky
to offer the International Baccalaureate Program. Located on
the 48-acre Ursuline Campus, SHA attracts students from a wide
variety of backgrounds.

Ninety-nine
percent of our graduates go on to higher education -- recent
graduates from SHA earned more than $15 million in scholarships
and were accepted by over 130 different colleges across the United States.
A survey
of Sacred Heart Academy graduates indicates that our alumnae

their communities and excelling as doctors, lawyers and other
professionals.

well-rounded education
After recent renovations on campus, SHA opened a modern facility
dedicated to art and technology education. The Art, Media
and Technology Wing, unrivaled by any facility in the region,
offers computer and multi-media labs, a TV and video production
studio, an art studio, gallery showplace, a kiln/pottery facility
and photography dark rooms.

Sacred Heart
Academy also offers students a 750-capacity gym and an outdoor
athletic complex, located behind the school. The spacious and beautiful
athletic facilities include regulation field hockey, softball and
soccer fields, as well as an eight-lane, 400-meter track and a five-court
tennis complex.
