Our educational
opportunities are not confined to classrooms with walls. The
beautiful 48-acre Ursuline Campus is a unique outdoor classroom,
and provides students with athletic fields and room for quiet
meditation and study.
| Additional
learning opportunities on campus may include a trip to
the Ursuline School for the Performing Arts for a preview
performance of an upcoming dramatic production, an outing
to our Child Development Center to learn firsthand about
early childhood development and care, or a visit to the
Marian Home for interaction with the elderly. |

No other
environmental or educational opportunities available at UCS
exist in Louisville.

The campus' history dates back to 1876 when the Ursuline
Sisters of Louisville purchased land off Lexington Road, opened
Sacred Heart Academy the following year, and established what
was to become a long tradition of recognized academic excellence.
Over
the last century, the Ursuline Campus has realized exponential
growth, and continues to expand and modernize its facilities
to adapt to the changing needs of its dynamic student population.
