Laurel Award

 

The Laurel Award will annually recognize a donor who has been most generous over an extended period of time to the Ursuline Campus Schools or one of its member schools. 

 

Criteria for selection

 

 

The donor’s interest and dedication to the Ursuline Campus Schools, or one of its member schools, is demonstrated through consistent and generous financial support of annual fund campaigns, capital campaigns, and other special appeals directed by the Ursuline Campus Schools’ Development Office. 

 

The donor’s cumulative giving history from 1995 to present will be evaluated for the Laurel Award nomination.

 

To be nominated for the award, an individual donor must have cumulative contributions  of $50,000 during the established time period, or a corporation must have cumulative contributions of $100,000.

 

Selection Process

 

The Ursuline Campus Schools Development Office, using their recorded data, will assemble a list of the top 15 donors to be presented to the selection committee in   January preceding the May award presentation.

 

The selection committee will consists of the UCS President, Executive Director of Development,  Development Committee Chair, Director of Alumni Relations, Director of Mission Effectiveness, two members of the Board of Trustees appointed by the Board Chair, and a school administrator appointed by the UCS President.

 

Following the selection, the recipient will receive, no later than February 1, written notification signed by the UCS President, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

 

Recognition

 

The Laurel Award will be announced at the Sacred Heart Society dinner.  The recipient will receive an individual award, arranged by the Development Office, and their name will be added to a plaque recognizing all recipients.  The donor may choose the  member school where the recognition plaque will be displayed in the year of his/her award.
