LOUISVILLE, KY (October 2008) - Fourteen students from eight elementary schools will perform in the Sacred Heart School for the Arts youth drama production of Forty Thieves on Nov. 5 and 6 at 10 a.m., Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. All shows will be in the Recital Hall, Angela Hall, bldg. #17, on the Ursuline Campus at 3105 Lexington Rd. Tickets for the Nov. 5 and 6 morning performances are $4. Tickets for the Nov. 7 and 8 performances are $5 for students/senior citizens and $8 for adults. For reservations call SHSA at 897-1816.
Shaherazad, storyteller to the auspicious and captivating king, tells her tale of the adventures of Ali Baba and his narrow escape (thanks to the cleverness of his trusted servant Marjanah) from the evil thieves who wish to punish him for discovering the secret hideaway of their treasures.
The production is directed by Robert Greene. Assistant director is Kristi Papailler.

Sacred Heart School for the Arts (SHSA), fully-accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, provides opportunities for students of all ages who either wish to pursue careers in the arts or who simply want to enrich their lives through music, dance, drama or visual arts. SHSA programs are open to the public, complement those offered by other schools on campus and encourage students to explore meanings, associations and interpretations of their encounters with the arts. In 2007, Sacred Heart Schools welcomed the renowned Louisville Youth Choir as artist-in-residence to SHSA.
