LOUISVILLE, KY (November 2007) - The Louisville Youth Choir has announced the formation of a 10-week exploratory pilot Primary Choir Program for singers in the first, second and third grades, on Tuesday evenings from Feb. 12 to April 22, 2008. No audition is required to participate in this program. The program will conclude with a performance on April 27. Registration begins on December 3.
“The Louisville Youth Choir is anxious to explore choral possibilities in the Metro area for young singers. Due to busy schedules, some schools may not be able to add chorus to their curriculum,” said Terri E. Foster, interim artistic and executive director of the Louisville Youth Choir. “The Louisville Youth Choir is continuing to strive to meet the choral needs in our community, and we consistently field calls requesting a program just like the new pilot choir we are now offering.”
Rehearsals will be held at the Ursuline School for the Performing Arts, Angela Hall, bldg. 17, 3105 Lexington Rd., on the Ursuline Campus. For more information about the pilot Primary Choir Program or to register, call the Louisville Youth Choir office at 502-896-5859.
