Sacred Heart Academy Madrigal Choir wins best overall in New York City’s Festivals of Music Competition

LOUISVILLE, KY (April 2008) - The Sacred Heart Academy’s Madrigal Choir placed first and received a superior rating in the madrigal choir division and won best overall high school choir in New York City’s Festivals of Music Competition. Over 30 coed and single sex high schools competed in the recent festival.

The Festivals of Music Competition is an invitation-only event. To qualify, a choir must receive a superior rating at a previous event or be recommended for the competition. SHA qualified by winning best in show at a Disney World competition in 2007. The SHA Madrigal Choir was the only choir from the area invited to compete.
