Ursuline Campus Schools hosts annual Interlude dinner/auction on September 16 to benefit students

LOUISVILLE, KY (September 2006) - The Sacred Heart Academy gymnasium, 3175 Lexington Rd., Bldg. 21, will be transformed into a metropolitan art gallery on September 16, when Ursuline Campus Schools (UCS) hosts its annual Interlude dinner and auction. The event, in its 11th year, is the only campus-wide fundraiser held for the direct benefit of all five Ursuline Campus schools: Sacred Heart Academy (girls, grades 9-12), Sacred Heart Model School (co-ed, grades K-8), Ursuline Montessori School (co-ed, ages 2-6), Ursuline Child Development Center (co-ed, ages 1-5) and Ursuline School for the Performing Arts (co-ed, all ages). Last year, Interlude raised more than $235,000 for the schools.

Interlude is open to the public and annually draws nearly 600 guests. The evening includes dinner and cocktails, silent and live auctions, games of chance and a $25,000 Grand Prize Raffle drawing. Guests have the opportunity to bid on such items as vacation getaways, golf outings, romantic dinner packages, jewelry and one-of-a-kind art pieces created by campus students. Co-chairs of this year's event are Suzi Hyland, Pam Wessel and Kimberly Tidwell.

A cocktail reception and bidding on the silent auction items begins at 7 p.m. Dinner, catered by local favorite The Silver Spoon, will be served at 8:45 p.m., followed by the live auction. The drawing for the $25,000 Grand Prize Raffle winner will top off the evening.

Tickets are $125 per person ($75 is tax deductible), corporate tables of eight are $1,250 ($970 is tax deductible) and Grand Prize Raffle tickets are $50 each.
