Four SHA teachers selected to participate in Holocaust education in-service program

LOUISVILLE, KY (June 2006) - SHA faculty members Phyllis Donlon, Danielle Popp, Catherine Sipperley, and Sr. Stephanie Youstra were accepted to participate in the Holocaust Education In-Service Program sponsored by the Jewish Community Federation of Louisville, Inc. The goal of the annual program is to educate teachers about the Holocaust and help them develop lesson plans to teach it accurately and effectively.

Forty teachers from the Louisville-area were selected to participate. The three-day program in June includes a tour of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. and two lectures: “Lesson of the Holocaust” and “Teaching the Holocaust.”
