Sacred Heart Academy students place first in state art competition

LOUISVILLE, KY (April 2007) - Two Sacred Heart Academy students won first place in the Kentucky Art Education Association All-State High School Art Competition. Katie Fenton’s video, The American Saddlebred, and Chelsea Sedlar’s jewelry pendant were both created in the Sacred Heart Academy Visual Communications Design course taught by Pat Minton and Sheila Huff.

Sacred Heart Academy (SHA), founded in 1877 by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, is a member of Ursuline Campus Schools, and is a college preparatory secondary school for girls. Sacred Heart is the only Catholic high school in Kentucky to offer the International Baccalaureate program, and 99 percent of SHA graduates attend hundreds of colleges and universities across the country.
