Ursuline Campus Schools’ student arts show is A Kaleidoscope of Creativity
LOUISVILLE, KY (April 2007) -
A Kaleidoscope of Creativity is the theme of the 2nd annual campus-wide student arts show and open house to be held by Ursuline Campus Schools on April 24 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on the Ursuline Campus at 3105 Lexington Road. The art show will showcase student visual art, as well as some faculty art, from each of the five campus schools: Sacred Heart Academy (girls, high school), Sacred Heart Model School (co-ed, K-8), Ursuline Child Development Center (co-ed, ages 1-5), Ursuline Montessori School (co-ed, ages 2-6) and Ursuline School for the Performing Arts (co-ed, all ages). Student and faculty instrumentalists, singers and dancers will also be featured. * * *
Ursuline Campus Schools (UCS), sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, is a community of five Catholic schools located on the beautiful 48-acre Ursuline Campus at 3105 Lexington Road in Louisville, Kentucky. The priorities of UCS are the development of the Ursuline core values of community, leadership, reverence, and service and strong academic programs. UCS offers a unique opportunity to experience the entire educational process, from early childhood through high school and is made up of the following member schools: Sacred Heart Academy (grades 9-12), Sacred Heart Model School (grades K-8), Ursuline Montessori School (ages 2-6), Ursuline Child Development Center (ages 1-5), and the Ursuline School for the Performing Arts (all ages). The total student population is nearly 2,000.
Student art mediums will include painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, paper, silk, photography and more. Artists from the Ursuline Campus Art Fair (UCAF) will be on hand demonstrating their art mediums. The popular art fair is held annually the third weekend of September and is sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville.

The SHA Madrigal choir will perform in the lower lobby of Sacred Heart Academy from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. The group will perform again at 7 p.m. in Ursula Auditorium, bldg. 5. Ursuline School for the Performing Arts faculty members and students will perform from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall in Angela Hall, bldg. 17; performances include violin, piano, organ, trumpet, harp ensemble, a guitar trio, voice and dance.
The campus-wide arts show is free and open to the public. Transportation between buildings will be available.
