Sacred Heart Model School Chess Team to Compete in National Tournament

LOUISVILLE, KY (March 2007) - The Sacred Heart Model School K5 Chess team took 3rd place in State competition, making team members eligible to compete in the national tournament in Nashville in May. The state tournament top four board players were Jonah Donze, Freddie Weitendorf, Coleman Cox and Paxton Duff; the alternates were Thomas Dougherty and Nick Simon. Team members also included Patrick O’Brien and Ian Scott.

Sacred Heart Model School (SHMS), a member of Ursuline Campus Schools, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, is a K-8 co-ed school.
