Sacred Heart Model School wins Regional Chess Title

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 2007) - The Sacred Heart Model School K5 Chess team won the Regional title and will compete for the first time in the State tournament on March 3. In the Regional tournament, Paxton Duff won 5th place in Under 700, Thomas Dougherty placed 1st in Under 700 and Jonah Donze took 1st place overall with five perfect rounds. Jonah, Paxton, Thomas, Freddie Weitendorf, Coleman Cox and Nick Simon will compete in the State tournament.

Sacred Heart Model School (SHMS), a member of Ursuline Campus Schools, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, is a K-8 co-ed school.
