Four Sacred Heart Academy athletes sign college intent letters

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 2007) - The following four Sacred Heart Academy seniors have signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics:

Meagan Boyle will continue her soccer career at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She was named to the 2006 All-Region and was named Most Valuable Player of the State semi-final game. Meagan is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma candidate and has a 3.8 grade point average.

Melissa Hagerty will play soccer for Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga. Melissa was a member of the 2002 State championship soccer team and was voted the Most Valuable Player. She has been named First Team All-State each of her four years at SHA. She has a 4.0 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Kelsey Kiper will play field hockey for Indiana University. She has played forward and mid-fielder on the SHA varsity field hockey team for two years. Kelsey was a member of the 2006 State championship team. She is an IB Diploma candidate.

Brittany Miller will continue her field hockey career at Michigan State University. She was a member of three Apple Tournament championship teams and the 2006 undefeated State championship Valkyrie team. Brittany’s team also won the Husky Invitational. She was named First Team All-State in 2005 and 2006 and was voted Most Valuable Player of the Apple Tournament in 2004. Brittany has a grade point average of 3.87, is a member of the Peer Leaders executive board and the National Honor Society and is an SHA Ambassador.
